Overview:

graph-arrowCommercial Vehicle Sales Outlook (CV Sales Outlook) analyzes economic factors, vehicle demographics, political/regulations and industry factors that are influencing fleets’ equipment purchasing decisions in the short-term as well as in the long term. CMVC develops its own economic forecast to support its proprietary truck, bus and trailer sales forecasting models for North America – U.S. Canada, Mexico and exports from North America. Vehicle projections are by gross vehicle weight ratings, Class 2 through Class 8 and trailer projections by type of trailer, for example dry van, platform, tank, etc.).

CV Sales Outlook is published quarterly following the release of GDP data by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. CMVC uses newly released GDP data to update economic forecasts that support the vehicle forecasting models. CMVC provides equipment sales projections and economic tables in an Excel format for clients to manipulate the data to meet their internal company planning requirements. Graphs are provided in Power Point format for clients to use in management presentations to communicate the commercial vehicle sales outlook and marketing environment.

Clients also regularly call CMVC to discuss vehicle and trailer sales projections following review of CV Sales Outlook.
